Sleep Hygiene

Sleep hygiene define as merely a ritual and steps that must be taken in nightly basis with an assurance of acquiring good sleeping pattern. The following are simple aspects that needed to perform upon breaking up irregular sleeping patterns such as insomnia.

Minimize the food intake during midnight. One of the major concerns that may occur when people eat too much during the night, the metabolism will not function well. The worst result, it leads to bodily discomfort, heart-burn, and having sleepiness night.

Taking a bath daily. Having a daily bath in the morning makes the person awake during the day as freshness soothes all throughout till dawn. For those individuals who have some difficulty sleeping, several hours before going to sleep take a bath and don’t forget using scented oils particularly lavender and body wash.

Turn off the lights before going to bed. It’s a fact that human body produces certain chemicals that flows unto the blood when expose in the dark. This type of chemical serve as a signal for the body to get some rest.

Avoid caffeine intake few hours before bedtime. Caffeine is not recommended to individuals who got some abnormalities on their sleeping pattern.
